George S. Rohall

Pittsford/Batavia - George S. Rohall, 84, of Pittsford, formerly of Batavia and Webster, owner of Calibrated Charts Corporation in Batavia, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Highlands Living Center, in Pittsford.

Mr. Rohall was born April 13, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late George and Mary (Smenyak) Rohall.

He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps. from 1956 to 1959.  He was an active member at St. Joseph's Church where he served on the Finance Committee and was a former Trustee, and was a devoted supporter of Notre Dame High School.  He was an avid follower of the stock market and current events.  He loved and was deeply proud of his family and delighted in singing their praises to anyone who would listen. We will always cherish and desperately try to remember all the wonderful stories he loved to tell of his life experiences.

His wife, Joyce B. (Lukach) Rohall, to whom he was married for nine days short of fifty years, died March 26, 2009.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Lisa Marie (Brian) Bamberger of Rydal, PA and Adrianne J. (Brian) Dougherty of Batavia; a son, Gregory S. Rohall of Buffalo; 5 grandchildren, Jessica (Antonio) Ciaccia, Caitlin (Ryan) Bucari, Emma Mary Bamberger, Abigail Nicole Bamberger and Madison Elizabeth Bamberger; 2 great-grandsons, Franco Ciaccia and Rory Bucari, a sister, Elisabeth Koper of Philadelphia and several nieces and nephews.  

Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at H.E. Turner & Co, Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., Batavia.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held for George at 10a.m.  Monday at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph Site, 303 E. Main St., Batavia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway West, Amherst, NY 14228 or American Heart Association, 2113 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624 or St. Joseph's School, Attn: Tuition Fund, 2 Summit St., Batavia, NY 14020.   Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum in Batavia.  Please leave a condolence, share a story or light a candle at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com.
