Robert S. Dombroski, 76 of East Bethany, passed away peacefully on Monday (February 15, 2016) at his home.

He was born on June 13, 1939 in Batavia, NY, a son of the late Steve and Rose Kosiorek Dombroski. Also predeceased by his sister MaryAnn Orlando.

Bob graduated from Batavia High School in 1957 and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1965. He retired in 1993 from the Batavia City Police Department as a Detective Sargent. He had a great love of the outdoors and spent many hours in the woods hunting deer and turkey with his son and grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Pann Dombroski, whom he married on June 2, 1962. His daughter, Andrea (Tom) Aldinger of Attica and his son, Stephen (Heidi) Dombroski of Rochester. 4 grandchildren, Tyler and Tristan Aldinger and Sienna and Tenley Dombroski. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Alice (Peter) Dodge of Tennessee and RoseMary Boylan of Rochester. Brother in-law, James Orlando of Tennessee. Brother in-law and sister in-law, David and June Pann of Akron, NY. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Thursday (February 18th) from 4-7pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA, NY. His Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 11:00am at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Church, corner of Swan St. and Sumner St.). Full military honors will follow the funeral mass.
