Donald Billings

  Donald Billings, age 88, of Silver Springs, passed away on Monday February 15, 2016 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.  Donald was born in Perry on July 11, 1927 a son of the late Frank and Clara (Close) Billings. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Florence and 6 siblings.

Don served with the US Army during World War II. He retired in 1989 from the former Champion Products in Perry after many years of service and was a member of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Perry.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Lucille, 2 daughters: Linda (Paul) McKenna of West Seneca, Susan (Gary) Lipski of Lewsiville, NC, 6 step-children: Philip (Marylyn) Hewitt of Delevan, Douglas (Sharon) Hewitt of Concord, NC., Ruby Hewitt of Mississauga, CA., Barbara Hewitt of Warsaw, Dale (Mary Jo) Hewitt of Concord, NC., Valerie (James) Qutermous of Castile, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at the Holy Apostles Episcopal Church 88 South Main St. in Perry on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 1:00 P.M.  He will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry, NY.
