Age 84, of Batavia and formerly of Warsaw, died peacefully Saturday February 27, 2016 at the Buffalo VA Medical Center. She was born March 7, 1931 in Hornell, NY, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Marjorie (LeMunyan) Darling; also preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Gayton in 1978 and George Herman in 2006, step-son, Mark Herman, step-daughter, Ellen Schaumloeffel and brother, Charles E. Darling.

Marjorie is a Marine Corp Veteran and a member of the Wyoming County Veterans Club in Warsaw. She was a volunteer at the Senior Center and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. 

Surviving are her children, Ronald of St. Pete, FL; Pamela (Thomas) Radell of TN, Madeline Gayton McCready and Doreen (Scot) Wright all of Batavia; step-sons, Brian Herman of NC and Steve Herman of TX; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild along with several nieces and nephews.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

The family will be present on Sunday March 6 from 1 - 3pm at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where funeral services and military honors will immediately follow. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery at a later date, in lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Care-A-Van Ministries 4 Lewis Place PO Box 1611 Batavia, New York 14021.
