 Jay Leo Brick, 82, of Perry passed away on Friday March 18, 2016 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw where he had been residing, surrounded by the love of his family. Jay was born in Rochester, New York on September 3, 1933. A son of the late Leo and Elizabeth (Clark) Brick. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Carmella who passed away on Feb. 23, 2016; a son Bruce Allan Brick who died on Oct. 11, 2015; a grandson Bruce Allan Brick Jr.; son-in-law Frank Spiotta and brother John Brick.

Mr. Brick served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a truck driver throughout his working career. In his early days he drove a beer truck, a milk truck for the former Morris Dairy in Leicester, was a crane operator for the former Kaustine Furnace and Tank Co. in Perry, drove a cement mixer for Cipriano’s in Mt. Morris, a bus driver for Trailways Bus Co. in Batavia and York and Pavilion Central Schools and retiring from Comstock Foods (the former Curtis Burns) in Mt. Morris where he proudly received a million miles safe driver award. He was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) in Perry, the Teamsters Union where he was a Union Steward, Perry Vets Club and a past member of the Perry VFW. He enjoyed attending classic car and railroad exhibitions as well as collecting model trains, trucks and cars and was an avid card player with family and friends.

He is survived by 3 daughters; Susan Marie Spiotta of Batavia, Paula Ann Parker of Perry and Sandra Lee (Stephen) Chauvin of Twinsburg, OH.; a sister Ruth Ann (George) Burns of York; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 6:00-8:30PM on Tuesday March 22, 2016 at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main Street Perry, New York 14530. Prayers will be recited at the Funeral Home on Wednesday March 23rd at 10:15AM preceding an 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) in Perry. He will be laid to rest in Leicester Cemetery in Leicester.
