Dorothy M. Nesbitt

North Chili/Batavia - Dorothy M. Nesbitt, 89, of North Chili and formerly of Batavia, died Monday (March 28, 2016) at the Leo Center for Caring in Rochester.

Dorothy was born November 29, 1926 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Richard and Marian (Heintz) Nesbitt.

Dorothy will be remembered for always having a smile and willing to help others.  She attended church service and enjoyed reading the Bible. Dorothy was an office worker at Teale Machine Co. in Rochester.

Survivors include one brother, Harold (Nan) Nesbitt of Batavia; her nieces and nephews, David Nesbitt of Pavilion, Thomas (Melanie) Nesbitt of Byron, Karen Mortise of Canastota, Daniel (Regina) Nesbitt of Batavia, Paul (Brenda) Nesbitt Jr. of Batavia, James (Sandra) Mericle of Texas, Clent Mericle of Texas and Carl (Myong) Mericle of Texas and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Dorothy is a sister of the late Paul Nesbitt and Virginia Mericle and an aunt of the late Steven Nesbitt and Linda Mericle.  

All services will be private and burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Batavia.  Memorials may be made to Crossroads House, P.O. Box 403, Batavia, NY 14021, Volunteers For Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, NY 14021 or St. Ann`s Community, 1500 Portland Ave., Rochester, New York 14621.
