Michael Penkszyk

Michael Penkszyk, 91 of Alexander, passed away peacefully on Saturday (April 23, 2016) at his residence, with his daughters by his side.

He was born May 26, 1924 in Batavia, a son of the late John and Anna Bozak Penkszyk.

For several years Mr. Penkszyk was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways and Railroad Express. He was the owner and operator of Penkszyk Farm in Alexander, which began with his parents. Mr. Penkszyk enjoyed cooking and gardening and was a lifelong parishioner of Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Church) in Batavia.

He was the husband of the late Eleanor Krysczyk Penkszyk who died November 3, 1987 and father of the late Karen Penkszyk who died March 29, 2011.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann Penkszyk, Rosemarie Penkszyk and Sharon Penkszyk, all of Alexander. Two sons, Michael Penkszyk Jr. of Tennessee and David Penkszyk of Virginia. Sisters in-law, Josephine Penkszyk of East Pembroke and Geraldine Penkszyk of North Carolina.  Also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
