Mr. Saile was born January 18, 1926 in Batavia, a son of the late Walter and Mildred (Barber) Saile.
Roger was a private man who loved antique and classic cars, airplanes, and airshows.
He was the husband of the late L. Ruth (Ellison) Saile, who passed away January, 21, 2001.
Roger is survived by a son, Eric (Janet) Saile of Batavia; three grandchildren, Jason (Erin) Saile of Batavia, Ellen (Gregg) Traver of Naples, FL, and Sarah (Curt Capper) Saile of Batavia; a step-granddaughter, Sara (Jason) Brunner of Batavia; 11 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Mary Saile of Batavia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Lynford Saile.
Family and Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia, where Roger’s Funeral Service will immediately follow calling hours at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Town Of Batavia Fire Department, Inc., 8382 Lewiston Road, P.O. Box 417, Batavia, NY 14021. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia.
