  Georgina A. Morrow, 59, of Batavia passed away with her family by her side on Sunday May 1, 2016 in the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born December 2, 1956 in Batavia to the late Lorenzo Amato and Anna (Zito) Amato of Palermo, Sicily

Mrs. Morrow worked at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy. She was a lifelong member of Resurrection Parish in Batavia. Gina loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.  She was an excellent cook and loved feeding her family, friends and neighbors. Gina traveled to Palermo, Sicily as much as possible to spend time with her loving family. Everyone who knew her loved her for her kindness, generosity and selflessness. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

She is survived by her beloved husband Daniel L. Morrow of Batavia; son Jason (Kristine) Morrow of Tonawanda; daughters Danielle (Scott) Tooley of Batavia; Amy (Tony) Ilaqua of Oakfield; Jessica (Philip) Farley of Liverpool; brother Dominick Amato, sister Ramona Amato both of Palermo, Sicily; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild along with many nieces and nephews.  

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday May 5, 2016 from 3:00-7:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. A 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 6, 2016 at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s) 18 Ellicott St. Batavia, New York 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
