He was a former member of the New York National Guard, a long time member at the Calvary Baptist Church and was a tree surgeon for Todd Tree Service in Clarence.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Marie Washburn of Batavia; 5 step children, Darlene (Kevin) Neuer, Francis Oberer, Michael Oberer, David (Lisa) Oberer and Mark Oberer; 2 sisters Lois and Evelyn; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild along many nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior calling hours. An 11:00AM Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 14, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Church 3515 Galloway Rd. Batavia, NY 14020.
