Mr. Shetler was proud to have served in the United States Army. He worked for many years and retired from Kodak in Rochester. Jiggs enjoyed racing, going to the casino and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Jiggs is survived by his beloved wife Elaine (Weber) Shetler of Alabama, NY; son Carl (Ann Marie) Shetler of Alabama, NY; siblings Lavina Ritenour of PA; Earl (Louise) Shetler of PA; Flo (Russ Soles) Hicks of PA; Jean (Eugene) Baker of Medina; sister-in-law Gladys Shetler of PA; grandsons Carl and Michael Shetler; Daniel and Michael Freeman; great-grandsons Carson and Scott Shetler, along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday June 14, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. An 11:00 AM Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at the Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Alabama Cemetery, Alabama, NY.
