Age 86, of Oakfield, died peacefully Thursday afternoon July 28, 2016 at Home while under the care of Orleans Hospice and her loving family. She was born June 13, 1930 in Rochester, NY a daughter of the late Alex and Edna Marks, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Lester Johns; brothers, Alex, William and Charles Marks; sisters, Matilda Harvey, Marian Wielgosgynski, Dorothy Kraft, Ethel Kiehl and great-granddaughter, Julia Kay Cory. 

Pauline was a former member of the Oakfield Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon. A former Zonta Club member she was very active in the Oakfield community being a member of the Oakfield Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, working for the Genesee County Election Committee and a volunteer on the first committee for Oakfield Labor Daze, now an annual tradition. She enjoyed her flower gardens, playing cards and home in Florida but nearest her heart was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Surviving is her beloved children, Robert (Tammy) Brion of Middleport, James (Susan) Brion, Gregory Johns, Linda (Raymond) Smith all of Oakfield, Lizabeth (Lyle) Starkweather of Basom, Barbara (Jim Anderson) Rose of Port Charlotte, FL and Leslie (Richard) Stauss of Oakfield; brother, Robert Marks of IL; sister, Margaret Warner of Geneseo; daughter-in-law, Kay Brion of Oakfield; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. 

The John's family will be present from 5-8PM on Tuesday August 2 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020 where a Celebration of Pauline's Life will  begin at 11:00AM Wednesday August 3. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Cary Cemetery and memorials in her memory can be made to Hospice of Orleans, Inc. 14080 State Rt. 31 Albion, New York 14411.
