Louise E. Cockram

Kent/Batavia- Louise E. Cockram, 106, of Kent, a longtime Batavia resident and clerk at F.W. Woolworth Store in Rochester, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Orchard Manor Residential Health Care Facility, in Medina.

Mrs. Cockram was born August 28, 1909 in West Bergen, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Lena (Dilcher) Redinger.

She had attended the City Church and enjoyed crochet and playing the piano.

She is predeceased by her first husband, Roy Spencer who died in 1954 and her second husband, Francis Cockram, who died in 1995.

She was the mother of the late Margaret Acker, William Spencer and Elwin Spencer and sister of the late Andrew, Ernest, Harold, Frederick, Richard, Carl, Emma, and George Redinger and Helen Lacy.

Survivors include 2 step-sons, Robert Cockram of Lansing, NY and William (Janyce) Cockram of Kent, 3 step-daughters, Janet (Loren) Wetzel of Williamsville, Jean Edwards of Provo, UT and Helen Hill of Bergen; one beloved granddaughter, Evonne Spencer of Ramona, CA;, 15 step-grandchildren, 40 step-great grandchildren, several great-great and great-great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends may attend graveside services 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Byron Cemetery, Town-line Road, Route #262, in Byron.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 20 North Pointe, Suite #130, Amherst, NY 14228.  Arrangements were completed by H.E.
