Kenneth D. "Don" Currier

  Kenneth D.”Don” Currier, 89 of Batavia passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 30, 2016. He was born March 29, 1927 in Ormel, NY to the late Kenneth & Iva (Sanders) Currier. Mr. Currier is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Currier.         

Mr. Currier was a United States Army Veteran during WWII, an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and camping and was a lifetime member of the VFW in Batavia. He worked at Dohler Jarvis as a Millwright Foreman for 18 years, but above all else was a fantastic husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Roberta “Bobbie” Currier; sons James (Linda) Currier of GA; John (Deborah) Currier of South Byron; Jerry (Barb) Currier of Batavia; Eric (Lori) Currier of Batavia; a daughter-in-law Barb Currier of Batavia; sisters Charlotte (Joseph) Yaw of CA; Audry (Garrett) Myers of Montana, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.  

Friends and family are invited to call Thursday September 1, 2016 from 4:00–8:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020.
