Ralph L. Torcello

Ralph L. Torcello, 84 of Batavia and Silver Lake died Monday May 17, 2010 at the Buffalo VA Medical Center.

He was born August 26, 1925 in Batavia, New York. Son of the late William A. (Gertrude Perry) Torcello.

Mr. Torcello was a master plumber and the owner of Torcello Plumbing and Heating in Batavia for many years.

He was a World War II Army Veteran, member of Ascension Parish (St. Anthony’s Church), the Knights of Columbus and the former St. Nicholas Social Club.

He is preceded in death by his brothers William M. and Michael Torcello and a sister Marguerite Yerger.

Ralph is survived by his sisters Mary Vallese and Grace Nichols, both of Batavia, and Rosemarie (Darrel) Canfield of Las Vegas, NV, a brother Arthur Torcello of Las Vegas, NV. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours from 8 to 9 AM on Thursday May 20, 2010 at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc.

Prayers will be recited at 9:00 AM on Thursday following calling hours at the Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Ascension Parish, St. Anthony’s Church 122 Liberty St. Batavia, NY 14020.

Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
