Mrs. Doris G. O'Leary

Batavia - Mrs. Doris G O'Leary, 86, of Batavia, who was a foster parent for more than 80 children over a 30 year period died Thursday, June 3, 2010at the Genesee County Nursing Home.

Mrs. O'Leary was born February 14, 1924 in Alexander, a daughter of the late Fred and Jessie (Austin) Foster.

She was a member of New Hope Ministries and enjoyed crochet and crafts. She was a truck driver, along with her late husband Edwin, for National Trailer Convoy.

Her husband, Edwin C. O'Leary, died on March 2, 2010.

Survivors include four sons, Gary E. (Carla) Meyers of Bear Creek, North Carolina, Dennis W. (Luana Williams) Meyers of Batavia, David (Vicki) Andrews of Rochester and James (Vanessa) Andrews of LeRoy; a daughter, Jessie (Glenn) Frier of Batavia; a brother, Kenneth (Carmen) Foster of California; two sisters, Loretta Maberry of Kansas and Wyona (Dick) Burrs of Warsaw; 26 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

She was the mother of the late Paul Andrews and Lorraine Chartrand and sister of the late Gerald and Fred Foster.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at New Hope Ministries, 8052 Bank Street, Road, where services will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
