Ralph L. Royse, Sr.

Batavia - Mr. Ralph L. Royse, Sr. 75, of Batavia, retiree at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Batavia, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Royse was born February 27, 1935 in Akron, OH, the son of George Thomas (Sr.) and Beatrice Vera (Spade) Royse.

He was a member of Faith Community Church. He formerly raced cars and enjoyed motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Mead) Royse whom he married March 12, 1966; 10 children, G. Bill (Linda) Engelhardt, Helen (Patrick) Engelhardt, Ralph (Deb) Royse, Jr., Linda Royse Ruth (Tom) Gilliatt, Malynda (Billy) Blackshere, Ward (Michelle) Royse, Mabel Royse, all of Batavia, Irene McNutt of Oakfield, and Annie Royse of VA; 2 brothers, Joseph (Molly) Spade of PA and John (Josephine) Griffin of OH; 2 sisters, Wanita Bolas and Susan Prindle, both of PA; 37 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

He was the great-grandfather of the late Andrew Cianfrini and brother of the late Roger Griffin, Thomas Royse and Lena Fraticello

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia, NY. A graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ellicott Street, Batavia. Memorials may be made to the family. Condolences may be made at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com.
