Linda Lee Chapell

Linda Lee Chapell age  61 of Batavia died July 20, 2010 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

Born January 28, 1949 in Batavia, New York daughter of the late Erwin W. (E. Muriel Jenkins) Chapell. 

Linda was an employee of Genesee ARC Workshop in Batavia. She was a member of City Church where she was very active.

Linda enjoyed doing ceramics. She was lovingly cared for by the Staff of ARC and her group home. She was the recipient of the 2010 Western Region Self Advocate of the Year at the Self Advocacy Conference. 

Preceded in death by a brother Erwin Chapell, a sister Nancy Dersam and two brothers in law Oscar Kessler and Richard Moore Sr.

She is survived by one brother Roger (Carol) Kirkpatrick of Chili, NY, 4 sisters Jeanette Moore of Batavia, Carolyn (Dayton) Schultz of Oakfield, Judy Chapell and Norma Kessler both of Batavia. Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive along with her very dear friends Patti, Michelle, Donna and Jeanette.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday July 22, 2010 from 4 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba.
