Mrs. Julia A. Burns

Batavia - Mrs. Julia A. Burns, 90, a retired employee of the Richmond Memorial Library, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Crossroads House in Batavia.

Mrs. Burns was born October 16, 1919 in Olean, the daughter of the late Donato and Angelina Defemia Fontasia.

She was a member of and volunteered at the St. Jerome Guild, the Salvation Army and the Friends of Richmond Memorial Library.

Her husband, Edward W. Burns died in 1982. Survivors include two sons: Edward (Mary) Burns of Batavia and Patrick (Traci) Burns of Missouri; three daughters: Barbara (Peter) Corbelli of Batavia, Kathleen (Frank) Fear of Michigan and Jeanette (Buddy) Campbell of Orchard Park. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her extended family at Washington Towers.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 E. Main St., Batavia. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2010 at Resurrection Parish, St. Mary’s Church, 18 Ellicott St., Batavia. Memorials may be made to Richmond Memorial Library, 19 Ross St., Batavia, NY 14020 or Crossroads House, P.O.
