Batavia - Mrs. Eileen K. Forti, 79, of Batavia, died Monday, (September 6, 2010)at the Genesee County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Forti was born October 16, 1930 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Paul and Florence (Gallagher) Kelly.
She was a member of Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph’s Church and she loved her cats.
Survivors include three sons, Paul (Linda) Forti of LeRoy, Joseph Forti of Arlington, Virginia and Louis (Michele) Forti of Wyoming; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 54 years, Joseph Michael Forti, died April 30, 2010.
There are no prior calling hours. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph’s Site, 303 East Main Street, Batavia. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Volunteers For Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, N.Y. 14021 or Sisters of Mercy, 625 Abbott Road, Buffalo, N.Y. 14220.
