Elizabeth Eleanor Pastecki

It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Eleanor Pastecki announce her death on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Genseee County Nursing Home on the first floor Memory Unit.

A long time Batavia resident, she was born in Buffalo, 98 years ago on November 2, 1911, a daughter of the late Lewis and Agnes Wozniak Sikorski.  Her husband, Anthony Adam Pastecki died on August 30, 1982.

Mrs. pastecki reitred from Melton Shirt Factory and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Polsih Falconettes.  She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and loved crocheting afghans.

Surviving are her children, Maryann Fasano of Batavia and her children, Michael Fasano III and Maria and Darryle Streeter.  David and Marilyn Pastecki of Batavia and their children, Robert and Anya Pastecki and Douglas Pastecki.  Peter and Kathleen Pastecki of Rochester and their children, Stephen and Bobbie Pastecki and Megan and Pablo Molina.  Her great grandchildren, Julia and Benjamin Streeter, Ryan Pastecki, Nicholas Pastecki and Cesar and Alex Molina.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 PM at the J. LEONARD McANDREW FUNERAL HOME, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA.  Prayers will be Wednesday at 8:45 AM at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home  followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Church).  Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

The Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3:45 PM at the Funeral Home on Tuesday. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesee County Nursing Home first floor Dementia Unit, 278 Bank St., Batavia, NY  14020.
