Norman E. Fagnan

Oakfield - Mr. Norman E. Fagnan, 72, of Oakfield, died Monday, (September 20, 2010)at home while under the care of HomeCare and Hospice.
Mr. Fagnan was born March 27, 1938 in Buffalo, the son of the late Norman and Catherine (Hutchins) Fagnan.
Mr. Fagnan was a former superintendent at Oakfield - Alabama Central School. He was a member of Saint Padre Pio Parish - St. Cecilia's Church, where he sang in the church choir, was a lector and belonged to the Men's Group. Mr. Fagnan was also a member of the Oakfield Lions Club, GCASA, Western New York School Study Council, New York State Council of School Administrators and was a past trustee and president of the Haxton Memorial Library. He enjoyed reading, playing tennis, traveling and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his wife, Alice (Zynczak) Fagnan of Oakfield, whom he married July 2, 1960; a daughter, Michele (Guy) Boretti of Glenville; a son, Michael (Ana) Fagnan of Amherst; three grandchildren, Melina Boretti, Sofia Fagnan and Christopher Fagnan; two sisters, Kathy (Ken) Melston of Rockwall, Texas and Mary (Michael) Krickminer of Fairport; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Parrinello of Huntington and several nieces and nephews.
He is the father of the late Leslie Ann Fagnan.  
Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Prayers at the funeral home Saturday at 9:00 a.m. will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30, also on Saturday, at Saint Padre Pio Parish - St. Cecilia's Site, 56 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Burial will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Oakfield.
