Mary A. Sputore, 84 of Batavia, NY. Died October 15, 2010 at the New York State Veterans Home. Born September 28, 1926 in Batavia, New York, daughter of the late Ralph (Jennie Bonarigo) Soccio. Mrs. Sputore worked for many years at GTE Sylvania. She was a member of Ascension Parish-St. Anthony’s Church. Mrs. Sputore was a past member of the Catholic Daughters and the Altar & Rosary Society. She was an avid bingo and card player. She is preceded in death by her husband John Sputore (1982) and brother Rocco Soccio.
She is survived by son Paul (Mary) Sputore of Batavia; daughter Donna (Jeff) Gillard of Batavia; brothers Joseph (Shirley) Soccio of FL; James Soccio of Batavia; grandchildren Christopher (Carrie) Sputore, Geoffrey (Keri) Roche, Michael (Julie) Sputore, Melissa (Ryan) Biegasiewicz, 3 great-grandchildren survive along with several nieces and nephews.

Prayers will be recited 9:00 AM on Monday October 18, 2010 at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 AM Ascension Parish-St. Anthony’s Church 122 Liberty St. Batavia, NY 14020. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Batavia.
