Edward F. Penders

Batavia - Edward F. Penders, 72, of Batavia, a kitchen designer at Chase Pitkins in Brockport, prior to his retirement in 1995, died Friday, November 12, 2010at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

Mr. Penders was born May 29, 1938 in Edwards, NY, a son of the late John and Emma (Moss) Penders.
He served with the Air Force, was a member for over 25 years of the Leroy Loyal Order of Moose, Silver Lake Sportsman's Club and was an avid bowler, golfer, softball pitcher and coach.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mary (Almeter) Penders; 2 daughters, Deborah (Bobby) Gladue  and Kathy (Steve) Schwartz,  of Georgia; a brother, John "Jack" (Nancy) Penders of Georgia; a step daughter, Julie (Steve Davis) Gill of Batavia; 2 step sons, Michael (Susan) Gill of OH and Jeff Gill of Utica; several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. 
He was the father of the late Thomas Penders.  

Friends may attend services at 10 a.m. Thursday at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., Batavia. Memorials may be made to the family. Burial will be in Oatka Cemetery in Pavilion.
