Dorothy J. Diver, 89, of Perry passed away on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Eastside Nursing home in Warsaw where she had been residing. Dorothy was born in East Pembroke, New York a daughter of the late Melvin and Myra (York) Snell. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Diver who passed away in 2004; son-in-law Edward Moriarty; a granddaughter Erin Moriarty; brothers Robert (Gertrude) Snell, Harold and Roger Snell and a brother-in-law Marvin Reak.

Dorothy was a homemaker who helped on the family farm and took meticulous care of the book work for the farm. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flowers gardens, canning what she grew in the garden, sewing, cooking and baking.

She is survived by daughters Sandra (David) Collins of Lakeland, Fl., Debbie Moriarty of Williamsburg, VA., sons Gary (Yvonne) Diver of Rigina, Canada, Alan Diver of Castile, Randy and Evan Diver both of Perry; sister Viola Reak of Corfu; sister-in-law Lucy Snell of Corfu; 3 grandchildren Katie Moriarty, Allison and Logan Diver, along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. Services will be announced at a later date for the spring. She will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery in East Pembroke.
