Former owner/operator of Ye Olde Willow Bend Inn died peacefully Thursday February 9, 2017 at the New York State Veteran's Home @ Batavia on his 86 birthday. He was born February 9, 1931 in Batavia, NY a son of the late Ralph and Jennie (Bonarigo) Soccio also preceded in death by his wife, Carolla J. "Rollie" (McConnell); siblings, Rocco Soccio and Mary Sputore. 

Jim was a lifelong area resident, served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and lived by the motto, "Work Hard, Play Hard". He did work hard, running the Willow Bend for 40 years where many patrons would see him grilling steaks over the indoor char-pit. Jim eventually turned over the operations to his daughter, Maureen who still runs the business with the same spirit her dad always did. 

Surviving is his beloved daughter, Maureen (Rich Cox) Soccio of Batavia and their daughter Adriana Cox or as grandpa called her, "Poopsie"; children, James Soccio, Mary Jo Soccio-Tydingo and Nancy Soccio-Carranza; brother, Joseph Soccio of FL; 10 grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

There is no prior visitation, a Celebration of Jimmy's Life will be announced at a future date. Memorials in his memory are suggested to Interlakes Oncology and Hematology, P.C. or a charity of the donor's choice.
