Milton L. Mote

Byron - Milton L. Mote passed away at home on December 28, 2010 at the age of 73 after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Mote was born in North Hornell on February 16, 1937.

He was a graduate of Letchworth Central School. Mr. Mote owned and operated Mote Farm Dairy Farm in Gainesville. 

The family raised registered holsteins and sold breeding stock in local sales, Canada and overseas.

Mr. Mote was past president of the Wyoming Co. Holstein Club and member of Upstate Milk Cooperative.

In later years the family moved to Byron and Mr. Mote worked for Ed Sharp & Sons, Inc.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kay (Perry) Mote; three children, Christopher Mote of Byron, Susan Jordan of Batavia and Paula Mote of Batavia; three granddaughters, Michelle and Rachel Jordan of Batavia and Melissa Mote of Batavia; cousins; sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Wilbur and Evelyn Mote and a brother, Donald Mote.


There will be no calling hours. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Lake Plains Dialysis Center, 587 East Main Street, Batavia, N.Y. 14020.
