WAYNE L. COLE

Batavia - Mr. Wayne L. Cole, 63, of Batavia, machinist at Graham Manufacturing Corporation in Batavia, retiring on March 31, 2009, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Crossroads House.

Mr. Cole was born March 2, 1947 in Batavia, a son of the late Floyd and Roberta Dixon Cole.

A 1965 graduate of Elba Central School and U.S. Army veteran, he worked at Graham's for 32 years, where he enjoyed pulling pranks on his fellow co-workers. Wayne was an avid lover of classic cars including his 1955 Chevy and Corvettes. In spite of his illness, he always maintained a positive attitude on life.

His wife, Susan Norton Cole, died May 11, 2008.

Survived by his loving children, Lisa (Nick Pieramico) Cole and Denice (Frank) Sage; step-sons, Daniel (Tracy Puzan) Milliman and Paul (Laura) Milliman; granddaughters, Samantha Sage, Cassandra Dembik, Clairissa Milliman and Trejah Mims; brother, Richard (Barb) Cole; sisters, Susan (David) Mudrzynski and Cheryl (Ken) Moore; brothers-in-law, Robert (Judy) Norton, Eugene (Josie) Boldt and Ellsworth Jr. (Carol) Norton; sisters-in-law, Beverly Reamer, Marjorie (Dave) German, Joyce (Ron) Sixt, Linda (late John) Richenberg and Sharon Cole and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brother Gerald Cole.

Friends may call on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.
