ANNA M. DORF

Elba- Mrs. Anna M. Dorf, 90, of Elba, died Saturday, February 26, 2011at United Memorial Medical Center, in Batavia.

Mrs. Dorf was born May 31, 1920 inBarre, a daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Kingdollar Allen.

A member of Padre Pio Parish - Our Lady of Fatima Worship site, Mrs. Dorf was a former member of the Home Bureau and Elba Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and traveled extensively with her family. Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of her caregivers during her illness.

Her husband, Ferdinand "June" Dorf, died September 24, 1995.

Survivors include three daughters, June Ellen Dorf of Elba, Lynda (Kris) Porter of Lewiston and Gail (Joseph) Gabriel of Brockport; two grandsons, Jeffrey Porter and David (Paula) Porter, both of Washington, two great-granddaughters, Courtney Anna and Mary Beth Porter, both of Washington and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is the sister of the late Bernard T. Sr. (Dorothy) Allen, late Charles K. (Gertrude Schad) Allen, late Arthur (late Ethelyn) Allen, late Roland (Virginia) Allen and the late Elsie Ahl.  

Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Padre Pio Parish - Our Lady of Fatima Worship Site, 65 South Main Street, Elba.  Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba.
