Kenneth I. McBride

Kenneth I. McBride, 91 of Perry. Died April 22, 2011 at his home. Born January 24, 1920 in Leicester, NY. He is son of the late Clair (Jessie Lines)  McBride. Mr. McBride was the 1949 New York State Champion Sheep Sheerer. He did a lot of custom Sheep Sheering and custom field work until 1960. Ken was a longtime dairy farmer having bought his own farm in 1948 naming it McBride Farms and working on it right until the end. He was chairman of the group that put up the first lights for the Perry High School Football Team. Member of Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry and local 4-H. Ken was an avid Buffalo Bills and Syracuse Orangeman fan but most of all loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. A very hard working and loving grandfather that will be missed by all. The family would like to thank Livingston County Hospice for all that they have done especially Jackie, Joanne and Dr. Reagan. He is preceded in death by a sister Helen McBride.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Jane A. (Black) McBride of Perry; sons Stephen McBride of Castile; Daniel (Sandra) McBride of Castile; daughters Pamela McBride of Leicester; Polly (Steven) Rice of Leicester; Patricia McBride of Perry; sisters Glayds (Robert) Graham of Hunt; Cynthia (Karl) Fischer of Perry; grandchildren Christopher (Jackie) McBride, Rebecca (Gerry) Kane, Jennifer Rice, Jessica McBride, Stephanie Rice, Benjamin Rice, Matthew McBride, Danielle McBride, Adam Willis, Alexis Taylor, great-grandchildren Bridget McBride, Brooke and Beau Slocum, Olivia Wiseman,  along with many several other nieces and  nephews.

Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 PM on Monday April 25, 2011 at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 N. Main St. Perry, NY 14530.
Funeral Services will take place 10:00 AM on Tuesday April 26, 2011 at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Leicester Cemetery.
