Myron G. Chittenden

Corfu -- Myron G. Chittenden, 88, of Corfu, passed away Friday (April 21, 2017) at his home.
 
Myron was born on October 8, 1928, in Byron, a son of the late Edward and Emily Haskell Chittenden. He was the husband of the late Elaine Schmidt Chittenden and father of the late Donald M. and Jill (Bower) Chittenden.
 
Myron, along with his late wife Elaine, ran the family business, Chittenden Farm Produce of Corfu. He also started Myron Chittenden and Sons Roofing in 1968. Myron’s favorite pastimes were playing cards, especially euchre, and jigsaw puzzles.
 
Surviving are his children, Chris Chittenden (Marcy Johnson), Betty Chittenden Lord, Frank (Sue) Chittenden and Emily (John) Koch; eight grandchildren, Edward (Shelly) Chittenden, Jessica (Jeff) Rhodes, Jason (Elizabeth) Lord, Chase Lord, Zachary (Sarah) Chittenden, Cody Chittenden, Wyatt Chittenden and Brian Koch; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary Inc., 4 E. Main St., Corfu. Funeral services will be held from the mortuary at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu. Memorials may be made to HomeCare and Hospice, 550 E. Main St., Batavia, NY 14020 or to The Salvation Army, 529 E. Main St., Batavia, NY 14020.
