Lynne M. Johnson, 61 of Batavia. Entered into rest May 31, 2011 following a short illnes at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. Born July 6, 1949 in Batavia, New York to the late Norman “Sy” Johnson and Mary (Lang) Johnson of Batavia. Ms. Johnson was employed by Five Star Bank and Wal-Mart, prior to that she worked for over 20 years at Tops Market where she started at the age of 16. Lynne enjoyed working with the public. She loved her four cats and flowers. She is preceded in death by her sister Bonnie Glenz in 2009.
                                                                                                                        
In addition to her mother she is survived by her brothers Charles Johnson, Mark (Susan) Johnson, Steven Johnson and Paul Johnson all of Batavia.  Sisters Kristie (Robert) Stack of  Batavia, Cathie Johnson of Batavia, Annette (Paul) Palmer of Spencerport, Mary (Matthew) Baldwin of Darien Center, a brother in law Arthur Glenz of Rochester and her dear friend Sam Pilato of Batavia. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins also survive.     

Friends are invited to call 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM on Thursday June 2, 2011 at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 W. Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 9:30 AM in Resurrection Parish-St. Joseph’s Church 303 E. Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Batavia.
