Scott D. Slocum

Scott D. Slocum, 50 of Perry died Saturday August 28, 2011 at his home. He was born May 25, 1961, in Warsaw, son of Douglas L. Slocum of Perry and Patricia Kelly Humphrey of Osprey, FL. Mr. Slocum attended Perry High School, he had worked for the Laborers Union Local No. 435 in Rochester, and drove truck for Prescott Inc. in Scottsville, M&T Trucking in Pavilion, Joe Uveino Trucking in Perry and Baker and Baker in Warsaw. He was currently working for Halo Farms in Perry. He was an avid sportsman who liked hunting, being in the outdoors, and riding motorcycles. He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Laura Ann Slocum; a brother, Michael P, Slocum; grandparents Leon and Lida Slocum; Leonard and Laura Kelly.

Along with his parents he is survived by a daughter, Karissa (James) Sardina, and a son, Gregory Slocum, both of Perry; two sisters, Suzette (Todd) Barvian of Varysburg, and Sara Jackson (Robert Yencer) of Tuscarora; one brother, Steven Slocum of Warsaw; five grandchildren, Brody, Shea and Cameron Sardina; Beau and Brooke Slocum; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends also survive.

Friends may call from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home LLC, 98 North Main Street Perry, NY 14530. Services will follow the visitation at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Perry Center.
