Gary was born in Rochester, NY, on December 10, 1951, a son of the late Everett W. and Ann Suzanne Godfrey Pike. A resident of Mt. Morris, Gary had lived in Perry and many years in Kansas. He made his career with the U.S. Army and had worked for Solomon Corp. in Kansas for several years. He was active in the VFW and American Legion in Salina, Kansas.

He is survived by: his wife, Donna DiSalvo Pike, whom he married on November 3, 1969; a son, Gary (Carrie Ann Grippo) Pike of Greece, NY; a daughter, Penny Pike, of Mt. Morris; three sisters, Sharon (Richard) Waite of Loxahatchee, Fla., Karen Hall of Nunda, Laura (Glenn) Spearman of Manitoba, Canada; two brothers, Everett (Hanna) Pike of Pavilion, Daryl Pike of Castalian Springs, Tenn.; A stepmother, Alberta Pike of Castalian Springs, Tenn.; four stepsisters, Denise Irwin of Chicago, Kathy Seighman of Nashville, Tenn., Laurie Irwin of San Diego, Calif., Beverly Daniel of Castalian Springs, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Mikaila and Justin Pike, along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday September 12th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St., Perry.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 13th at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial is in Mt. Ash Cemetery, Covington, NY.
