Anthony F. Fazio

Anthony F. Fazio, 85 of Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Batavia, died October 24, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL. He was born March 14, 1926 in Batavia to the late Frank (Rose Scalia) Fazio. Mr. Fazio was a member of Ascension Parish-St. Anthony’s Church and the former St. Nicholas Club. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He worked at Doehler Jarvis, GTE Sylvania, and lastly as an Inspector for the New York State Racing and Wagering Board. Mr. Fazio loved baseball, coaching Little League and was an avid New York Yankee fan. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Filomena (Dattoli) Fazio (2005); granddaughters Cristine Marie, Cara Rose Fazio and brother Nathan Fazio.

He is survived by two sons Frank Fazio of Palm Beach, FL; James (Nicolina) Fazio of Batavia; grandsons James and Ryan Fazio of Batavia; along with several nieces and nephews.
 

Friends are invited to call on Friday October 28, 2011 from 3 to 7 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. Prayers will be recited at the Funeral Home 9:30 AM on Saturday October 29, 2011 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM at Ascension Parish-St. Anthony’s Church 122 Liberty St. Batavia, NY 14020. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Batavia.
