Dale Morton Perry

Dale Morton Perry, 65, of East Pembroke, died Thursday (October 27, 2011) at his residence following a battle with cancer.

He was born in Batavia on July 16, 1946, a son of the late Marlo and Esther Buchele Perry.

Dale was a graduate of Akron Central School and Alfred School of Technology.  He worked at his family owned business, Perry's ice Cream Co. Inc of Akron throughout his life until he left his role as Executive Vice President in 1994.  Dale assisted in the development of another successful company, Summit Lubricants in Batavia where he served as President.  After his retirement, he continued his entrepreneur interests in land development.

He served with the United States Air Force Reserves as well as the Akron Volunteer Fire Company.  He was an executive member of the Akron Rotary and Masonic Lodge.  His interests included traveling to Hawaii and playing golf.

He was the loving husband of Victoria (Gorczyca) Perry whom he married in 2000.  A dear father of Debra and (Gordon) Musilli of Batavia and Denise (Bob) Akin of Akron.  Grandfather of Megan, Madison and Grey Musilli, Zac, Will and Cole Akin. Brother of Thomas (Marilyn) Perry of Akron, Allyn (Marilyn) Perry of Wilson, NY, Linda (Joseph) Capan of Akron. Stepdaughters, Julie Betters, Christine (Kevin Tobin) Betters and Kathleen Betters. Step grand daughters, Leila, Nina and Kieran Tobin.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Family will receive friends on Saturday (Nov. 5, 2011) at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC., 32 JOHN ST., AKRON, from noon to 3 pm. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Home Care and Hospice, 550 E. Main St., Batavia, NY 14020.
