Age 95, of Batavia, died peacefully Saturday morning November 12, 2011 at the home of her daughter while under the care of Hospice. She was born December 31, 1915 in Newport, RI daughter of the late Gitullio & Philomena (Georgie) Muratori, also preceded in death by her husbands Enzo Giuliani and Livio Sordoni; sisters Eleanor Perini & Mary Gaggi. She was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Mary's). Gina enjoyed family picnics and will be remembered as a wonderful, kind, caring woman who had a deep devotion to her children and loved to cook for her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her children Alexander "Alex" (Barbara) Giuliani of FL, Enzo (Gail) Giuliani and Diana (Ron) Viele all of Batavia; 8 grandchildren Alex Giuliani, Catrina Madgett, Gina Thomas, Maria (George) Shiffino, Enzo A. Giuliani, Denise M. (Michael) Gallego, Paul (Reagan) Viele, Christina Darron and Katie Viele; 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may visit from 9:30-11:30 AM Wednesday November 16, 2011 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where prayers will be recited at 11:30 AM followed by a 12:00 Noon Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary's Site). Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery and memorials in Gina's memory are suggested to HomeCare & Hospice 550 East Main Street Batavia, NY or to a charity of the donor's choice.
