Wilma M. Ferris, 81 of Perry, died November 22, 2011 peacefully at her daughters home in Perry. She was born in Fillmore, NY on December 3, 1929 to the late Robert (Mabel Maxson) Gillette. Mrs. Ferris was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Fillmore. She loved gardening, bird watching, baking, cats, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Ferris Sr.; granddaughter Jennifer M. Foote; brothers Robert "Boy", Russell Gillette; and a sister Anita "Babe" Carter.
She is survived by a son Donald R. Ferris Jr. of Perry; daughters Rebecca S. Ferris of Warsaw; Ramona L. Ferris, Nancy J. (Scott) Safford both of Perry; brother Ronald “Ike” (Nancy) Gillette of Fillmore; sisters Althea Bentley of TN; Lois (Lowell) Fancher of Fillmore; 8 grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews also survive.
Family and friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM on Friday November 25, 2011 at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry. Services will take place 1:00 PM on Friday November 25, 2011 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
