 Genevieve A. Jacobs, 91 of Batavia, passed away peacefully at Premier Genesee Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Wednesday June 7, 2017. She was born April 24, 1926 in Batavia, to the late James (Florence Falkowski) Sformo. Mrs. Jacobs is preceded in death by her husband George F. Jacobs (1985), son George Jacobs, brothers James and Larry Sformo.

Mrs. Jacobs was a lifetime member of Ascension Parish and longtime member of Polish Falcons. She was commander of Disabled American Veterans #166, past president of both the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She is survived by her beloved children James (Jennifer) Jacobs, Georgene (Rocco) DellaPenna, Maxine (Brian) Dioguardi all of Batavia; sisters Helen DeJongh of Texas; Florence Pontillo of Batavia; Lorraine (Carl) Dilcher of Oakfield; Marcie Weicher of Byron; Rose Mary Christian of Batavia; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. An 11:00 AM Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
