Eleanor M. (Beideck) Sharick

Corfu - Eleanor M. (Beideck) Sharick, of Corfu, passed away peacefully at the Le Roy Village Green on Saturday, June 10, 2017.
Eleanor was born to Harold G. Haskell and Elsie Bartlett (Haskell) Colby on October 21, 1923, in Indian Falls, New York. She is predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence W. Beideck in 1989 and Russell M. Sharick in 2014.
 
Eleanor lived her whole life in the Corfu area and spent many winters in Haines City, Fla.  Eleanor loved to motor home with her first husband Lawrence Beideck and did extensive traveling with her second husband Russell Sharick. She was an avid card player.
 
Eleanor was a former Clerk of the Village of Corfu. She worked for the former Bordwell Insurance Agency and was a clerk/secretary for Johnson, Drake and Piper during the construction of the New York State Thruway.  She retired as the Assistant Manager of the Corfu Office of M&T Bank.
 
Eleanor was a member of the Corfu United Presbyterian Church, the Corfu Rebekah Lodge #222 and the VFW Auxiliary.
 
She is survived by her sister Lucille (Alton) Beideck of Saranac Lake; a son, Edward (Carol) Beideck of Akron and a daughter Nancy (Richard) Clare of Akron; four grandchildren, Michelle (John) Reynolds of Corfu, Joshua (Heather) Beideck, Chad (Kristin) Cummings and Brad Cummings all of Akron; two stepchildren, Deborah (Frank) Czapeczka of Batavia and Randy (Lisa) Sharick of Corfu and nine great-grandchildren.
 
Friends are invited to call at the Corfu United Presbyterian Church, 63 Allegheny St., Corfu, on Wednesday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Aaron Neff officiating. 
 
Flowers are gratefully declined and memorials may be made to the Corfu United Presbyterian Church.
