Virginia C. Anchor

Stafford ~ Virginia C. Anchor, age 92, of E. Bethany-LeRoy  Road, passed away Friday evening (June 23, 2017) at Rochester General Hospital.

    

She was born March 3, 1925 in LeRoy, a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Davis Cheeseman.

     Virginia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was devoted to her family.  She was also a long-time member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church where she was involved in many church activities. She and her husband, Robert, were also members of the church choir.

     In addition to her husband of 17 years, Robert Anchor, she is survived by her children; Douglas Michel (Vanza McEntee) of LeRoy, William Michel of LeRoy and Carol Ganshaw of LeRoy; her step-sons, Jeff (Vanessa) Anchor of Holley and David Anchor of SC; daughter-in-law, Linda Michel of Boston, MA; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Michel,  son, Robert Michel and her brother, Wayne Cheeseman.

     Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM.  Interment in Stafford Rural Cemetery will follow.
