Patricia Ann "Patty" Cesarano

Patricia Ann “Patty” Cesarano, 80 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Saturday (June 24, 2017) at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY.

She was born April 5, 1937 in Batavia, NY, a daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Pontillo Minuto.

Patty worked as a professional cook for many area restaurants, including the Checkerboard Restaurant, Sylvania’s and Your Host Restaurant. She enjoyed playing cards and making crafts, stain glass art  and painting. She was also a longtime parishioner of the former St. Anthony’s Church and was a parishioner of Ascension Parish and the Altar and Rosary Society. Most of all family was the center of her life, where she raised five sons and watched her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her caring heart.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Pasquale “Patsy” Cesarano, who died January 6, 2012. Also predeceased by her brother, Thomas Minuto and daughter in-law, Wendy Cesarano.

She is survived by her five sons, Joseph Cesarano of Port Charlotte, FL, Thomas (Amy) Cesarano of Albany, NY, Patrick Cesarano of Batavia, Robert (Debra) Cesarano of Oakfield and Michael (Denise) Cesarano of Mumford.  Brother, Michael (Mary Ellen) Minuto of Rochester. Seven grandchildren, Jason (Shannon), Michael, Matthew, Robert Jr. (Emily), Kristina, Cody and Nicholas Cesarano.  Three great grandchildren, Sabastian, Shiori and Duke Cesarano.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Friday (June 30th) from 4-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA. Prayers will be recited 9:15am Saturday at the funeral home followed by her Mass of Christian Burial,10:00am at Ascension Parish (corner of S. Swan and Sumner Streets). Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

The Rosary Society will recite the rosary Friday, 3:30pm at the funeral home.
