Josephine Stone

Batavia- Mrs. Josephine Stone, 91, a retired employee of Melton Shirt Factory died Thursday, May 3, 2012at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Stone was born November 24, 1920 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Stephen and Jennie Fiorella Lombardo.

She was a member of Ascension Parish, St. Anthony's Church.  Mrs. Stone enjoyed spending time with her family and loved bingo.  She will be remembered for her excellent cooking talent.

 Her husband, Leo Stone, died March 11, 2009.

Survivors include two daughters; Janet (Gregory) May and Mary Rose (Gary) Rademacker, both of Batavia and one sister, Carol (late Albert) Mruczek of Batavia.  She was the grandmother of Wendy (Angelo) Polito, Jody (John) McCulley and Holly Silverling, all of Batavia, Ricky Recchio of Florida and  Kristine (Thomas) Tucker of Tennessee.  Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 E. Main St., Batavia. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 7, 2012 at Ascension Parish, St. Anthony's Church, 122 Liberty St., Batavia.  Memorials may be made to Crossroads House, P.O.
