Florence L. Jannain

Batavia - Florence L. Jannain, 84, of Batavia passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Jannain was born December 23, 1927 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Blood. 

Mrs. Jannain was a past president of the VFW  Ladies Auxillary and was very active in the Pavilion Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed word puzzles, especially crosswords.  She loved spending time with her family and was a dedicated collector of various knickknacks.

She was the wife of the late Lester N. Jannain, who died in 1996.

Surviving are her children, Linda (William) Jannain-Hume of East Bethany, Marcia Reeser of Pheonix, AZ, and Raymond Jannain of Rochester.  She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters as well as nieces and nephews.

Florence is preceded in death by a son, James Lester Jannain, and daughters, Victoria Rockefeller and Cynthia Jannain.  

Friends may call on Saturday from 11- 12 Noon at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia.  Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Flowers are gratefully declined and memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway West, Amherst, NY 14228.  Burial will be in Oatka Cemetery, Pavilion.  Please leave a condolence, share a story or light a candle at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com.
