Leonard P. Campobello

Leonard P. Campobello, 100 of Clarence, formerly of Batavia died January 2, 2013 at Brothers of Mercy Nursing and Rehab Center in Clarence. He was born November 30, 1912 in Batavia to the late Salvatore (Margaret Mondo) Campobello. Mr. Campobello was a farmer for many years. He was a past member of Resurrection Parish-St. Mary’s Church, the St. Nicholas Club and the Elks Club. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Viola M. (Wasnock) Campobello who passed in 2005; siblings Josephine (Ross) Campesi; James Campobello; Russell (Mary Vangalio) Campobello; Mary (Charles) Sciacca; Sam (Mary Tassone) Campobello; Sadie Gennaro; Harry and Rosario Campobello.  

He is survived by a brother-in-law Anthony Gennaro, sister-in-law Mary Campobello along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. Prayers will be recited 10:15 AM on Saturday January 5, 2013 at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM at Resurrection Parish-St. Joseph’s Church 303 East Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
