Joan L. Bly

Joan Lois Bly, lifetime resident of Perry, New York was born to the late Arthur L. Barrows and R. Ruby Watson Barrows of Bacon Road on April 9, 1930, the youngest of five children. After her childhood on the family farm, Joan moved into the village, marrying Robert L. Bly also of Perry, on June 2, 1950. Joan’s career as a fashion model and salesperson for Lippman’s Style Shop ended with the birth of their first child. She devoted the rest of her life to caring for her family, her home and gardens and her closest friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Bly, and her two brothers Dean Barrows and Robert Barrows.

Joan is survived by her four children, Claudia Bly, Kirk Bly, Robert Bly and Meggan Humphrey; her two sisters, Laura McIntyre and Freda Reinheimer; her granddaughter, Courtney Bly; , along with nieces and nephews.

Interment will take place at Glenwood Cemetery, Perry.
