THOMAS E. SEAGER

Age 71, of Batavia, died peacefully Sunday afternoon January 13, 2013 at the Erie County Medical Center. He was born January 4, 1942 in Rochester, a son of the late Henry J. & Arline (Welker) Seager and also preceded in death by his son, James W. Seager in 2012.

He was the owner of Tom Seager Real Estate and Appraisal and was one of the original founders of the LeRoy Ambulance Service. A Veteran of the United States Army, he enjoyed playing cards and watching world news on CNN. Tom was a former vice president of the Batavia Area Jaycees, past president of Parents Without Partners, a local volunteer for MDA and the Jerry Lewis Telethon and he wrote frequent book reviews for the Batavia Daily News under the title, BKWMSEZ.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 25 years, Phyllis (Hottois) Seager of Batavia; loving son, Robert Seager of Batavia; 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends may visit from 10-11 AM on Saturday January 19, 2013 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where a Celebration of Tom's Life will begin at 11:00 AM.
