Lillian L. Bernard

Lillian was born in Andover, New York on June 29,1912 a daughter of the late William and Rose Sweeney Livingston. Lillian was a resident of the Silver Lake area for over 70 years. During WWII Lillian helped her husband run the Ice business. She drove when women didn’t, but not a car, a large truck. She worked for the former Perry Knitting Mill and Champion Products as a seamstress until her retirement in 1982. Being a skilled seamstress was elected to sew the special garments for the NFL. She was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) and the former Perry Moose Club. She loved music, dancing, singing, knitting, crafts, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Matthew Bernard who died in 1957; 3 sisters Viola Bernard, Emma Masone, Ruth Tata; 3 brothers William Livingston, Earl Sheldon and Rodney Rowe.

She is survived by her children; Audrey (Richard) Brown of Perry, Arnold (Jean) Bernard of York, Pamela Yurko of Cheektowaga, and Bernadette Halstead of Perry. 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Friday January 25th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 N. Main St. in Perry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish-St. Joseph's Church 8 Park St. Perry, NY 14530. Interment will take place in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
