Julia "Hannah" Donahue

Julia “Hannah” Donahue, 91, of Alexander, died peacefully on Tuesday (April 30, 2013) at the Genesee County Nursing Home.

She was born in Alexander, NY on April 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Myron and Julia Leonard Pelton.

Hannah was a legal secretary for law offices in Batavia prior to her retirement.  She was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish in Attica.  Hannah had a fond love for dogs and the outdoors and will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was the loving wife of the late Thomas Donahue, Jr. who died on March 20, 2013.

Survivors include a daughter and son in-law, Julie Ann (Larry) Smith of Batavia. Granddaughter, Melissa Ann Smith of Batavia. Brother, Leo (Pauline) Pelton of Alexander.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Allen Pelton, Agnes Zak and Bertha Reiter.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Thursday from 5-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10am at Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish (St. Vincent de Paul Church) in Attica.

Interment will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Attica.
