Mary Rose Paladino, 87, of Batavia, went peacefully home to be with God on Tuesday (June 4, 2013) at St. Ann’s Community in Rochester.
She was born in Batavia on December 29, 1925, a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Martino Ricci.
She was the loving wife of Samuel Paladino who died on January 11, 1982
Mary worked for the medical records department at the former St. Jerome Hospital and as a secretary for the late Dr. Frank Hall. She was a life member of the former St. Anthony's Church in Batavia and enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, bingo, senior trips and most of all, being with her grand and great-grand children.
Surviving is her loving daughter Roberta O'Donnell (Jerry Hertzel) of The Villages, FL. Her dear grandchildren, Dr. Kathryn A. (Dr. Joshua, MD, PHD) Mendell of Dallas TX, Michael (Tanni) O'Donnell of Batavia and precious great-grandchildren, Cole and Adyson O'Donnell and Isabelle Mendell. Sister-in-law of: Marion Ricci of Batavia and Lawrence LaRussa of Batavia.
She is the grandmother of the late Sean O'Donnell and sister of the late, Jean LaRussa and Charles Ricci.
Friends of the family are cordially invited to share their thoughts, condolences and fond memories with the family on Thursday from 5 - 7 pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC., 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 2 o'clock in the afternoon at St. Ann’s Community Chapel, 1500 Portland Ave., Rochester.
